Bit of an overdue post here…
I was recently featured as artist of the month by my good friends over at Now Then Magazine. For those that don’t know, Now Then is an independent publication distributed freely all over Sheffield and comes highly recommended (by me). I’ve got a long running relationship with the magazine and a previous issue I was involved in can be viewed here.
Needless to say, it’s an honour to be involved. Hard copies of the magazine will be on the streets of Sheffield until the end of March and a .pdf of the magazine can be viewed here. If you know me personally, I have a few hard copies in my possession and if you’d like one please get in touch and I’ll try to get one in the post. I shall also be putting together some very exciting moving image projects for the mag over the coming months, so keep your eyes peeled.
In other news, some of the shots I did with the mysterious ∆kkord have been appearing in various places on the web, including this little nugget on XLR8R.com, recent clients The People’s Ear have just released their new website, I’m working on a couple of bits for various blogs and mags and plans for a music vid with the very excellent Adam Stearns and the Glass Animals are in the pipeline.
Recommendations:
- My good friend Jonathan Turner is exhibiting soon in Parson Cross, Sheffield. Details here. To my mind an excellent community based project and I assisted on a couple of the shoots.
- An insightful and tender exhibition “You’re Not Alone” at the Long Gallery in the Children’s Hospital, Sheffield. Details here. My personal favourite is this series by the consistently good Andy Brown.
- The services of No Culture Icons and Left Eye Blind in Leeds.
- This recent post/piece by Adam Curtis, which has sent my brain into overdrive.
- Szare.

Peace.

Almost superfluous to say copyright belongs elsewhere. This is the shit.
